AAA Approved Auto Repair Network
This is a AAA member benefit that provides referrals to automotive repair facilities along with assurances that AAA will intervene if a dispute should occur between us and an AAA member.
AAA’s network of Approved Auto Repair facilities must meet and maintain challenging performance standards while providing reliable and courteous service. Some of the requirements we must achieve include:
- Employment of qualified automotive technicians who have demonstrated their credentials.
- Full–service repair facilities must have the tools and equipment necessary to provide a broad range of repair services including repairs to engines, brakes, and electrical systems. These facilities may perform or sublet repair in additional areas of service; however, they are responsible for those repairs.
- Service reputation and workmanship
exhibited that meets or exceeds AAA’s performance standards.
Before AAA approves a facility, customers are asked to rate their past
experiences
with that facility.
AAA Approved 24-Hour Towing Services
When a vehicle cannot be placed in a safe driving condition, it will be towed up to five miles from the point of disablement or back to the responding garage without a charge to the member. Any additional mileage will be at the member's expense and will not exceed the prevailing rates for the region. Such charges are payable at the time of towing and are not refundable.
Only one tow per breakdown will be made at AAA expense. If a flatbed wrecker is requested by the member and neither the condition of the vehicle nor the manufacturer requires a flatbed to tow the vehicle safely, the member is responsible for the additional charge.
If a vehicle is towing a light-duty trailer and that vehicle requires towing, the Club will provide towing for the trailer at the member's expense.
Normally, the member is expected to accompany the vehicle to the tow destination. However, exceptions will be made in extenuating circumstances.
AAA PLUS provides anywhere up to 100 miles (including special towing equipment) at no extra cost. AAA PLUS reimburses the member for one tow up to 100 miles at prevailing commercial rates. Any additional towing for the same breakdown will be entirely at the member's expense.
